Manarola to Riomaggiore was almost a joke of a trail. All paved and flat it was a quick and easy walk. Even though it didn't appeal to my inner hiker the views over the Mediterranean were spectacular. Weathered rock, crystal waters, the smell of salt, and the blazing sun only made the walk better. A large portion of the trail was dedicated to the
Via dell'Amore or literally the street of love, and locks covered much of the exposed surfaces.
