Strawberry Ginger

Well it was cocktail night Thursday, and this pretty number was the result. Pink, a hint of fruit, and delicious!

2 part ginger liquour
1 part gin
splash of lemon juice
muddled strawberries

Mix in a shaker with ice, pour, and add strawberries to each glass. Top with seltzer or tonic water. I used Trader Joe's raspberry-lime seltzer water.

On The Rise

On The Rise is a great bakery in Cleveland Ohio. It has great breads, pastries, and all kinds of sweets. My sister has always brought me home lots of bread that in turn is stored in the freezer. Since there are no great bakeries in my area I absolutely love having good bread. I love every bite. This is my last supply since my sister has moved back down to the south, and it will be a sad day when the bread runs out.

Risotto & Grilled Chicken

On my last grocery trip in Italy I might have gone a little overboard..... Anyways I didn't want to waste any of my groceries so I told myself if I had extra room (and weight) in my suitcase I would try and take some of it home. I managed to bring this package of risotto home with me. This was one of my favorite things to eat in Italy: cheap and delicious! I added some chicken marinated in a lemon basil sauce for the perfect meal.

It's great to finally be 21! I can now do whatever I want whenever I want. Last year I had an amazing birthday dress, and I had really hoped to find one just as good this year. Unfortunately in the week I have been home I was unable to find anything. But on the upside I found these adorable shorts from Anthro and some even better birthday shoes. I think I might have outdone the birthday dress after all!
